Help KPCK Share More Fresh Food
We'd love a tractor!
As part of our mission to serve the community, we need a tractor. Beyond tending the KPCK garden, which currently supplies many of the vegetables and herbs in our free community dinners, we want to help community members increase food security.
With a tractor we can
feed more fresh vegetables to community members at our free, twice-monthly dinners.
With a tractor we can
increase access by offering free garden plots to kids' groups and youth organizations, and by supplying raised garden beds for people in wheelchairs, at our garden south of downtown.
With a tractor we can
till family garden plots for anyone wishing to start a garden in their yard, till community garden plots on loaned properties to provide garden space to those without adequate yard space, and plow snow from driveways, all for small donations.
With a $2 donation
to our tractor funding mission you could win this gorgeous playhouse donated by the Western Illinois Builders' Association (WIBA). Whether it be a playhouse for your children or grandchildren, a getaway for yourself, a garden shed for your tools and supplies, or a donation to a children's organization, it would be a beautiful addition to any yard. The playhouse is currently on display at Sandburg Mall and the drawing will take place March 8th.
Everyone loves to help a good cause!
Our organization feeds more than 200 people in our community at each of our free, twice-monthly dinners. We serve nutritious food to our neighbors, with dignity and respect. We strengthen our community by sharing meals, and by engaging in outreach and educational activities related to food security. We love what we do and we think you'd love to be a part of it, too.
